The ACPPA Community Arts Center strives to create personal and community growth using art as a tool to strengthen individual power and nurture creative self-expression. Tucked within a beautiful old church on the West End in Norristown, PA, the Community Arts Center offers continuous and affordable art classes and opportunities for adults, children, and teens.

Programming includes after school art classes, weeknight evening workshops, fall and spring break camps for school children, community art nights and paint jams, and kids only craft nights.

Volunteer positions include:

ACPPA Community Art Center Greeter
Greeters will help check students in, answer parents’ questions, and relay event and class updates. In this role, greeters will make families feel welcome and at-home at the center. Greeters are welcome to work on homework or small projects during the volunteer time. Please contact us at csullivan@acppa.net if you are interested.

(CASA) After-School Program Volunteers
Volunteers assist with our after-school program for middle-school students. Children who attend this free program are invited to spend their time after school at the art center working on schoolwork, and interacting with peers in organized activities ranging from collage to dance to science projects. The goal of the CASA program is to develop adolescents who get joy from learning and expressing themselves creatively. Volunteers may choose to help one day or four! Please contact casa.laurie@acppa.net to find out more.
